little sense place this could have pretty easily been set in Chicago I like to feel Scandinavia in these books It was also just slow and hard to et into The flow was choppy and it kept jumping around Overall it took me a long time to read and I never really ot that into it Anders de La Motte Has Written A Motte has written a hitting fast paced psychological thriller that takes readers into the world of secret police intelligence and shady alliances where no one is truly as they seem From page one through the very end readers are breathlessly awaiting the next twist and development to piece together the puzzle of David Sarac s life More than just full of action Memorandom is thoughtful and engaging pulling readers into the mind of David Sarac and discovering along with him the terrorizing web he has woven around himself SUMMARY When David Sarac wakes up in the hospital he remembers almost nothing of the high stakes case he has been working on or his elusive and much sought after secret informant Janus He does however uickly detect that everyone around him is after Janus and it seems that he is the only one who knows who this person is His sense of foreboding is strong and he realizes that he can trust no one not even those who claim to be closest to him As David begins to remember his life piece by piece he knows that he must find Janus before Janus finds him and takes him out permanently The description sounded interesting But very difficult to read I think the author was trying too hard to make read I think the author was trying too hard to make suspenseful like some sort of Hollywood script that it often felt contrived I love when a story takes place in a different city or country but reading this story you learn nothing about Sweden It s only the occasional characters names which reminds you that it s not taking place in the US I have NEVER not finished a book I just cannot et through this one Had to stop half way vs wasting time on D den försvunne infiltratören Janus som befinner sig högt upp i den kriminella hierarkin Flera personer på båda sidor om lagen verkar vara beredda att å över lik för att avslöja Janus rätta identitet Eller kanske för att skydda MemoRandomAnything about the what or the who His boss is Worried As He Does Not as he does not where the list of Sarac s informants has one as it is NO LONGER IN THE SAFE INTERNAL longer in the safe Internal the Ministry of Justice his friend Peter Molner a fellow officer are all looking for Janus Throwing in to the mix is the underworld are also looking for him and Atif is looking for revenge on the killing of his brotherAs Sarac slowly recovers his memory he has to find his former informants and he is helped by his carer Natalie Aden who has been recruited to spy on him As they slowly put the pieces back together there are some secrets that Sarac needs to keep away from everybody and especially Natalie Sarac knows he is not safe at his Stockholm apartment and that he is being watched wherever he Bat Ode goes He is feeling the pressure and the uestion is will he crack first or will he be able to put the pieces togetherAs you read Memo Random you are aware that this is not just another police procedural but with the noir twists you really do ask yourself who are the people telling the truth You wince every time David Sarac takes yet another blow and wonder how will he workout who he needs to save if he cannot remember anythingTo add to the darkness he is out at his summer house as well as his apartment where he is in the depths of winter the snow is all around There is also the people not afraid to use violence are not just restricted to the baduys you can see This is an excellent thriller that brings Swedish noir to life with all its twists and turns the excitement is piled as high as the snow drifts I picked this book up second hand at our local charity shop for some holiday reading mainly attracted to it by its cover the fact that it Definitely one of the best books I ve read in a long time AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE Not only does the author have absolutely amazing writing techniue but as well as that just when you think you know how something is Bitter Choices: Blue-Collar Women in and out of Work going to turn out youet completely surprised by how the author makes things turn out Everything at the beginning is scattered you think and all of the characters have no relation to each other But the later on you read you find out that everything eventually connects together like a spider web twisting together Also like a spiderweb it caught me in the web and I never wanted to put the book down I can t remember a time when I wasn t surprised or entertained while reading this book I can t remember a time when I wasn t surprised or entertained while reading this book will admit I was uite confused at times but that s mostly because I don t read a lot of book like this I definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a lengthy yet ripping book This book is easily in my top three if not my favorite book As I said before an absolute masterpiece and.
