Ho dovuto leggere in uanto libro di testo per un corso accademico e MAI PI Abbastanza interessante ma sinceramente troppo prolisso troppo a parlare del nulla troppe pagine e troppi esempiUno spreco di carta in tutti i sensiAvendone fatto dei riassunti 34 di uel libro si poteva tranuillamente risparmiare per salvare po l ambienteNon lo consiglio assolutamente As far as textbooks o surprisingly readable well written and compelling 12 12 13 19 I love this book Well organised and easy to read it s a reat social history of the media newspapers books television internet etc you name it verry nice While a concise History Of The Media Is Sorely Needed of the media is sorely needed book doesn t really do the job While the legacy media chapters are thorough the authors demonstrate a shallow media chapters are thorough the authors demonstrate only a shallow social media aming and the internet in BOSH!: The Cookbook: Simple Recipes. Amazing Food. All Plants. general Those chapters are also filled with historical inaccuracies Moreover the book is so riddled with typos andrammatical mistakes that the publisher should be embarrassed. Associated with digital communication technology the rise of the internet and the phenomenon of Confessions of an Air Ambulance Doctor globalizationAvoiding technological determinism and rejecting assumptions of straightforward evolutionary progress this book brings out the rich and varied histories of communication media It will be an ideal text for students in history media and cultural studies and journalism but it will also appeal to a wideeneral readershi. ,

Ustry and The New Era Although I started reading this book for my minor I finished it because I can t let books be after I started them x The book is pretty organized and informative and definitely worth studying if you re in that field of studyPersonally I found it tough to Mr. Jelly's Business get through because history is not my biggest interest and there are a lot of names in the media world of which I have very limited knowledge x Iave 4 stars because it was pleasant to read and of ood uality It s not 5 stars because they didn t Do Proper Research On The Origins Of Print In Korea proper research on the origins of print in Korea timetable shows incorrect data for the invention if woodblock printing removable metal types and the oldest prints in Korea More on the textbook side but readable enough The early chapters do a good job of mixing a broad survey of time with concrete details many job of mixing a broad survey of time with concrete details many them new to me But the closer to the modern day the book ets the less perspective we have and the difficult it is to pick out the Developments That Really Matter that really matter Century In addition to the classic material exploring the continuing importance of oral and manuscript communication the rise of print and the relationship between physical transportation and social communication a new chapter on multimedia now extends the far reaching scope of this book New media technologies are treated in new depth throughout the latter sections and the book concludes with an account of the convergences. ,

This book probably deserves than I m iving it It provides what seems to Be A Thorough History Of a thorough history of as title suggests from print to today But apart from being a ood survey text it offers little else of substance For instance early On Its Authors Refuse To its authors refuse to a side in the technological determinism debate Further it Corps Values: Everything You Need to Know I Learned In the Marines gives aood account of many of the seminal historical texts on print radio television etc but doesn t do than allude to them Critiues of particular arguments rarely take up than a paragraph All of this merely results in a preponderance of texts for further consideration without a clear idea of which of those texts might provide relevant details worth considering All of this aside I did appreciate the authors attempt to chart a middle The Sun Shines Over the Sanggan River ground and to keep a historical perspective This would probably be a useful book for undergrads It s undertheorized from araduate student perspective however Just incredible compilations year per year since Gutenberg to The Internet Ind.
