It does not bend easily All your good intentions to change the course of history are notdoes not bend easily All your good intentions to change the course of history are not easy to accomplish as you would think Blake s past is much mutable Her decisions are not always met with the results she expects I really enjoyed this aspect of the story As couples go Blake and Rachel have entered Dar and Kerry territory for most memorable and favourite couples for this reader Written in 1st person I found myself drawn to Blake We know her so well Of course we do We are drawn into her life improbable though it might be We see how her actions affect Rachel We want Blake to win s love and hope for
HER AFTER ALL THE ANGSTHEA after all the angst feels like the sun and I m captured in her gravity as I spin my own path I may have gone in a circle chasing myself across the niverse However I know it will always be to her around her with her Loc 4909 4910 ebookI did have some issues with the book but for true romantics these may be an asset and not a distraction I love a plot driven novel After the clever beginning the multiple sex scenes and constant affirmations of love in the second half of the novel became yawn a bit repetitious for this old bird I am sure this novel will appeal to that large crowd of Twilight and Glee fans who revel in love scenes and erotica but I found myself skimming scenes hoping some new developments would happen to advance the plot What began as beautiful prose started to look like filler a story without end I was also disappointed with the ending view spoiler If I knew the book had a cliffie ending I may not have chosen to read it Let the reader know this will be the first in a series Not all of Sunce je počelo da se zlati us are series readers hide spoiler Damn this book is so heavy I absolutely LOVED it There is so much angst but at the same so much romance This book left me aching It definitely needs a seuel I will have to read it again soon though there are some parts where I would get a bit confused5 beautiful stars What did I just readUghh a roller coaster ride for my day off This book is so amazing that hurt me so much It made me cry from the first chapterntil I cant handle the pain of Rachel The way it was written was so amazing I felt REALY felt the love the passion they have And now this book taught me not to read any loving and heart wrenching book This would be the last It hurts me to death it was so emotional I just cant just cant BYE There are some books that can be read over and over again and they still remain amazing Then there are book that you read once and you never forget them This is one of those booksConfession time Before I started reading this book I read the blog post Stephanie Kusiak wrote about what inspired her to write this story That along with this book has tugged relentlessly on my heartstrings over the past few daysI won t recap this since there are several great reviews out there that already do a good job of that This book managed to make me laugh smile and cry ntil my eyes and heart wanted to file assault and battery chargesAlthough I really liked this book I would have liked dialogue between the characters because the book is told from Blake s POV and we re stuck in her head as she pines away for RachelThe final issue is the ending If I knew beforehand that the book ended the way it did I wouldn t have read it yet This was released four and a half years ago and the seuel who knows when or if that will ever appearOh well 425 rating for this amazing book that will knock your socks off if you re a hopeless romantic Oh mythis book This is NOT some piss ant fluffy lesbian romance oh no this is epic I m still having a hard time wrapping my head around it all and predict a major book hangover in my immediate futureI ve been struggling to piece together a synopsis of this 450 page story of two women s idyllic life together that gets blown apart then resurrected A story about a love so strong it bests the grim reaper or God orWTH was that Finally in a moment of rare clarity I decided there s no se in doing that There s no From Beautiful Zion to Red Bird Creek use because the details of the story though elegantly written are not what you ll remember months from now There s nose because even though the believability of a redo re second chance at life is almost impossible to pull off you ll find yourself tucked in immersed with nary a doubt There s no Sex, Rock Optical Illusions use because depending on your personal depth of human connection to empathize belong love and suffer this story might mean something very different to your best friend than it did to you Finally there s nose because even though the chemistry between Rachel and Blake is off the charts you ll soon realize that s not what the book is about either What you WILL remember is how you felt turning the pages Orever a tragic accident tears them apart After reaching the end of her rope Blake is blessed with the chance to. ,
What would you do differently if got
a chancechance to live your life all over Blake a woman who seems to have everything in life successful career wealth recognition happily married to the love of her life Rachel is given that I don t know how to feel about this book It started out so depressing that I didn t think I could get through it Then I was intrigued with where the story From Mistress to Wifey unexpectedly went It began to drag a bit I started speed readingntil the last chapter Those last pages gave me major anxiety And then it was done I can t say a whole bunch because most of what I want to comment on would be a spoiler What I liked was that the story was Disney Infinity: Character Encyclopedia uniue Not something you read every day I loved the angst It was the most emo book I have ever read The writing was so deep and reflective that it resonated and made you feel things in a very visceral way I loved the characters They all felt like family and I cared about them There were plenty of steamy scenes and while I m generally a prude when it comes to reading explicit sex I was on board for it here because none of it was gratuitous More than anything this book is about all encompassing love and that was ever present during those moments and added to the couple dynamic There were things that bothered me Repetitiveness Making love to someone s lips or mouth is a veryniue way to describe kissing So you notice it when it is sed around 5 times Although I love my angst SOME of it in the beginning was a bit over the top Could have cut out some of the misery and still drove the point home The flashbacks were pertinent and added to the story but there were too many and sometime not executed well I got lost because flashbacks were both flashbacks of the past and the future There were some editing issues but not too many to distract AND the end I don t even know what to think I loved the realization made by the swing in the last chapter I hated what happened in the final paragraphs It felt like there could be another installment coming which I would happily read But since I am just noticing that this was published in 2014 I doubt that is going to happen Unless it has and I just don t knowOH I wish I could give this 5 stars It felt like it should be a 5 star But I just can t Needed shorter length less angst I can t believe I am saying that and a different ending or a another book to continue onBut I recommend reading It was a niue story and was an EXPERIENCE It has been some time that I found a book that is difficult to let go literally and figuratively Kusiak writes beautifully Is there a seuel I can t wait In Stephen King s novel 112263 the author delves into the time travel debate What if you were able to go back in time and change the course of history What if you discovered some portal that let you go back and prevent the assassination of JFK How would your actions affect the world we know today Blake Fortier is given the opportunity to go back in time not to change the course of history but to get a second chance to be a better wife to Rachel How she gets back there is not Smitten uite so clear cut as King s book but the angst filled opening chapters make that leap of faith and time an easy jump to make for the reader There are so many things to love about this novelKosiak draws you into the world of Blake and Rachel time travel and second chances Her writing is elegant and sometimes profound I found myself highlighting passage after passage in the first half of the book My wife builds homes like this rooted in love and warmth and passion She splashes colors of raspberry and blue and green in my heart and home She places large glowing baubles of light dreamy orbs that float between the weeping willows and lavish brickwork outside She builds a secret garden fors to share a world of romance with pools of flowing water that tickle my ears bright pink rose bushes and daisies punctuated against ivy It is a place where music pours from hidden speakers and than once she has made love to me on a blanket staring p at the blue sky Loc 1646 1649 ebook Sure maybe there are a few too many commas thrown in here and there but as a reader I was swept away with her imagery Lovely stuff I really enjoyed the premise of this love story How many of s would given the chance be willing to relive our teenage years Even daunting imagine reliving your own past while knowing what might happen in the future Could you become a better person Could you handle the jungle that is high school life with an adult brain all the while knowing that the choices you make will define who you are in the future and who your wife may be There were so many avenues to explore here and I enjoyed suspending belief and just followed the tumultuous early lives of Rachel and BlakeIn Blake Fortnier and Rachel Kaplan are the perfect couple Fifteen years into a marriage that will seemingly last Ou ll remember Ms Kusiak s precise vision*to live *live your all over
PASSAGES SATURATING YOUR AND ENVELOPING LIKE VIVIDsaturating your senses and enveloping like a vivid blacking out whatever mundane tasks you had planned the day You ll remember the perfect pitch and timing of the dialogue You ll remember the full circle of emotions that at times left you speechless You ll remember the lovely meditations on big ass ideals destiny forgiveness altruism and karma You ll also remember how the story gnawed at you Made you think Made you long for what Rachel and Blake had Made you re examine your own priorities Personally I like a story like this one that bares the bones Any author that can drag all these feelings outta me through the power of her words alone is one to be cherished Make no mistake though this story is not for the 1898 uncommitted or those looking for a causal read Nooooo Be prepared to get sucked in completely and kept prisoner til spit back out at the bitter end an emotional hott mess All I ask is that you proceed without caution The sooner you surrender the sooner the real fun begins I So apparently I ve been reading Faberry fanfic for these last couple of daysLet s see shall weFirst we have the main character Blake akainn Fabray from Glee Blake is her middle name you see Her first name is Sarah but she goes by Blake Night of the Werewolf (Choose Your Own Nightmare, uinn s first name is Lucy but she goes by her middle name Both are blonde cheerleader good Christian HBIC etcThen we have Rachel I mean the author didn t even bother to change her name Which let me tell you we see a couple of familiar names from Glee For example we still have Hiram as Rachel s Dad and there s still Beth Anyway Rachel is a diva future Broadway star who is being bullied in high school byinn sorry I mean Blake and her two bff s Malina the angry Latina and Lindsey the bubbly blonde Oh wait you mean Santana and Brittany And then some magic happens and boom Blake and Rachel get from enemies to loversIt s exactly the same story we ve seen in so many Fabbery fanfictions Well I mean not exactly the same story but you know what I meanDon t get me wrong I don t Lay My Burden Down usually mind fanfics becoming books hell I loved Second Chances which is Faberry fanfic as well but I do have a big problem with this one It s just why didn t she at least try and change some stuff And I don t mean having Rachel have Mom and Dad instead of two Dads Her Dad s name was still Hiram so that doesn t count I was really excited to read this book According to all these reviews it had to be amazing But it wasn t Not for me The dialogues were cheesy I mean do real people talk How do you summarize a book that took your breath away If only I could write like Kusiak then perhaps you ll want to read the book based on my review but alas my words pale in comparison to what this book is and how it has affected me Loved and Lost is a second chance love story of Rachel and Blake It s a story that begins in tragedy when Rachel dies in an accident but follows the redemption of Blake as she s given a chance to go back in time to relive her life right all her wrongs and love Rachel like she s never loved before Anyone who has experienced the pain of loss willnderstand the multitudes of emotions and thoughts that flood Vérité (Love at Center Court, us with sadness despair regrets whatifs and perhaps frail hope that we might be able to see our loved one again one day These are moments of our human existence that compels to pause and ponder how it s possible that a beating heart that is purely of a biological mechanism in which we have little control of strong at times yet fragile at the crushing of metals or sueezing of valves is capable of either depriving or filling the Beyond the Qumran Community universe with vast meaning and purpose These are thoughts that have led me to this book in the first place One day I asked if someone could recommend a love story of soulmates not bound by time and I endedp with a secondhand copy of Loved and Lost first edition a week later This book kept me Daniels Pet up late at nightntil my eyes could no longer stay open while images of Rachel and Blake darted in and out of my subconsciousdreams and left me gasping for air before dawn as Kusiak s words beautiful lyrical poetic riveting heartwrenching penetrated every fiber of my being This is a story that takes Losing Control us from the depth of despair to the height of triumph All that in between can only be told in Kusiak s own words so I end this review with I m ruined to find another book like Loved and Lost This is a love story I compare all other love stories to This is a story I will be reading again and againntil my dying days And I will come back in another life to write the seuel if Kusiak doesn t write one Note The author s edition made some changes which added to the story and the characters that were lacking in the first edition. Relive her life She can right her wrongs live life to the fullest and change the course of fate or so she hopes.
