Sutter and the women iner family shine as an example for all women Oliveira Kade (Alien Adoption Agency has once again shown us the strength that we all possess and can muster when necessary I admit there were times that the book bogged down for me particularly in the very beginning which is why Iave not rated it a 5 That does not and should not detract from the fact that this is a marvelous must read book Thank you to Edelweiss for my copy of this book I seem to be one of the few people who came into this book without Scandalous Acts 7 having read the preuel My Name is Mary Sutter and without knowing anything about the author Perhaps if Iad I would The Children Money Can Buy have been prepared for what was to come but alas as it was what I read was not in the least what I expected ie a magical fairytale or a cozy mystery No indeed this was a gritty dark meticulously researched work ofistorical fiction that covered some incredibly challenging themes child abduction rape devastating natural events floods blizzards bribery and corruption at the The Burning Girls highest levels of local politics and Considering that I was expecting and in the mood for a light and magical tale it speaks to the excellence of this novel that I was uickly pulled in and enthralled to the point I was staying up long past my bedtime to find out whatappened next Oliveira builds a rich atmosphere
